We set off from The Greyhound pub at Higham and proceeded along the main road through the village. We  took a right hand branch of the road towards Wessington, from which we turned right on to a field path, which took us down towards Higham Farm ponds.

We passed the ponds and various fishermen, continuing along the path next to the railway track.  We crossed over the footbridge and followed a path by the side of the river, to the next bridge where we turned left towards the gate of Ogston Hall. After passing Severn Trent treatment plant, we turned right past the reservoir houses, continuing up a road track until we reached a field where we had our morning break.  We continued down the field, eventually crossing over another railway bridge. From here, we  began our upward climb, through a field and then a wood towards the A61. After crossing this busy road, we briefly walked through a housing estate, before finding ourselves once again walking through a series of fields which eventually led us back to Higham, reaching there by exactly 12.30.. A large number of us stopped at the Greyhound pub, for a drink afterwards .
